Margaret Corkill: Tributes To Constabulary’s First Female Officer

Margaret Corkill was recruited in 1967 but had to wait to join until the following year as regulations for female officers did not exist.

Chief Constable Gary Roberts said she was “well known, much liked and widely respected.”

Her funeral will be held at Kirk Braddan at 11:00 BST on Friday.
