Johannesburg – A female police officer has been killed in the line of duty in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Sunday.
Constable Zethu Cele, 29, and another officer were responding to a robbery on Bentley Road on Saturday night when the incident took place, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
“They were attacked and shot by unknown suspects who fled the scene after the incident,” he said.
Cele died at the scene. Her colleague was wounded and taken to hospital. – READ MORE
