A police officer has been praised for her heartfelt response after someone left a message saying “kill yourself” on her car.
The unnamed Gwent Police officer returned to her personal car, which had been parked outside a police station, to find the message scrawled in dirt on the rear window.
She then taped a letter to the car in response – and in spite of the insulting missive promised to protect the perpetrator regardless and thanking them for reminding her why she is a police officer.
She said that the perpetrator was not the first to hurl abuse at her, and ‘wouldn’t be the last,’ and ended the letter with the comment “police are people too.” – READ MORE
