Salt Lake City — (KUTV) A settlement has been reached between Salt Lake City and three female police officers who said they were sexually harassed by the department’s former deputy chief.

Ed Brass, attorney for the three officers, told 2News Wednesday afternoon the settlement will lead to financial compensation for the women as well as changes within the police department.

The women – Sgt. Robin Heiden, former Lt. Melody Gray, and Officer Tiffany Commagere – sued in September, seeking damages for “emotional pain and suffering” and for “lost income.”

With this settlement, each of the women will receive $85,000, Brass said. They also received a commitment on the part of the city to make changes on how complaints are handled in the police department, said Brass. – READ MORE
