Police Department Hires First Female Officer

SPRINGVILLE—For the first time in nearly 15 years, the Springville Police Department has a female officer. Mindy Jendrowski officially started in the department on July 5, she will be riding along with another officer for about a month, while she gets her bearings in Springville.

“I’m loving it … Springville is such a cute village,” Jendrowski said. “Very friendly and hardworking people. I love the houses and farms.”

Jendrowski is a current member of the Hamburg Police Department, where she has been for three and a half years, she previously worked for the Village of Cattaraugus Police Department and Erie County Medical Center. She spent seven years as a member of the Hamburg Fire Department. – READ MORE
