Why do you request comments when none are every published. Your editorial authority suggest to me you have a bias, or are very insecure or lacking the strengh to defend freedom of speech.

Fair question about the lack of published comments. I am not comfortable or competent with computers. If not for my amazing webmaster I would not even have a website. Sometimes I think I have posted a comment and off it has gone into cyberspace. Sometimes I get strange unrelated comments or comments from people with issues around some of the women in the article and I refuse to be a party to cyber bullying. Journalists are the defenders of free speech and I am not a journalist. I am just someone with a website with a focus on leadership broadly and women in public safety internationally. I am not comfortable with the open comment option on the website but I wanted to give it a try. Thanks Bev I need to make a decision on leaving the feature open or not. I will do so in the next few weeks. jane
