Wayne County Airport Authority Swears In First Female Police Chief

Detroit native Jennifer Williams has been sworn in as the first female police chief for the Wayne County Airport Authority.

Williams, a 28-year law enforcement veteran, replaces the recently retired Chief Edward Glomb to lead the police force that provides law enforcement at both Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP).

“Being promoted to chief, I am honored to earn the opportunity to help and protect travelers and employees at both of our airports,” said Williams, in a release. “We have a great team here, and I look forward to continuing to provide an exceptional level of safety and customer service to the airport community.” – READ MORE
