Palisade Appoints First Female Police Chief

PALISADE, Colo.- The Town of Palisade appoints their first-ever female chief of police.

After 27 years in law enforcement, and nearly two months service as the town’s interim police chief, Deb Funston is trading in her sergeant badge for Palisade’s official Chief of Police title.

This is all following the town’s decision, back in late March to put former Chief Tony Erickson on paid administrative leave pending quote “personnel issues.” But as of late last month, Erickson “formally resigned.” – READ MORE
