NT To Have The Highest Number Of Female Police Officers

The Territory is set to have the highest ratio of women police officers in the country after the unveiling of a recruitment plan to bolster the ranks of women officers.

Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw announced yesterday emergency services would recruit an equal number of men and women from 2016.

The NT News understands the policy is the most ambitious target ever set for the recruitment of female officers in Australia.
