A female Afghan police officer was shot dead by Pakistani Taliban militants in Quetta, the capital city of Baluchistan province.

According to reports, officer Rabia had visited Quetta city to meet the family of her daughter when she was shot dead by Pakistani militants.

Officer Rabia was serving in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, the interior ministry of Afghanistan (MOI) said following a statement.

The dead body of Rabia was found on a roadside after she was abducted from her daughters house by gunmen on Saturday night. Read more
