Melbourne Explosion ‘Not Malicious’, Injured Officers Fighting For Life, Police Say

Two female police officers suffered serious burns after the apparent LPG cylinder explosion occurred on Hambleton Street in Middle Park last night.

A male officer and two firefighters were also injured.

Police say the conditions of the two female constables and the male sergeant have improved, after all three underwent surgery at the Alfred Hospital today.

The officers attended the flat after reports a man was threatening self-harm. Read more
