Aug. 2 marked a milestone for Adair Police Department and for Cassandra Cookson.
Tuesday, the Chelsea native officially became Officer Cookson, accepting her first law enforcement job as the newest patrol officer with Adair PD.
She was born in Alaska but grew up in Chelsea before obtaining her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
“I’ve just always been interested in criminal justice,” she said, adding that it was important to her to find a department that felt cohesive and that she feels lucky to have found the position in Adair. “I’m very grateful they’ve given my my start.” – READ MORE
